Responsibilities Tasks Prepare layouts using measuring tools, taking into account building code requirements Measure, cut, shape and assemble wooden elements, particle board, light steel or other materials Erect foundations, install floor beams, lay flooring support, assemble pre-assembled framing and roofing elements Adjust and install windows, doors, stairs and hardware Establish construction site work schedules and supervise their execution Supervise other workers Estimate costs and materials Maintain, repair and renovate wooden buildings and structures in factories, mines, hospitals, industrial facilities and other establishments
