Responsibilities Tasks Estimate repair costs based on damage inspection report Plan repair work to be performed Clean and maintain work area Replace vehicle front-end and body components, doors, chassis and undercarriage elements File, grind and sand surfaces to be repaired Mask and tape vehicle surfaces in preparation for painting Unbend body elements using wooden blocks and hammers Remove damaged bumpers, panels and grilles and bolt or weld replacement parts in place Repair or replace interior components Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs Use welding equipment or filler plastic to level holes, dents and joints Straighten chassis using traction and chassis anchoring equipment and undercarriage elements
