- Monitor vehicle condition and perform inspection of tires, lights, brakes, refrigerated storage equipment and other equipment
- Adjust brakes
- Perform emergency repairs on the road
- Inspect trucks before, during and after the trip and monitor all aspects of vehicles
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Record information on cargo, service hours, distances traveled and fuel consumption
- Tarp and ensure cargo safety and security
