Responsibilities Tasks Select the type of insulating materials required Measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using manual and electrical tools Apply and secure insulation according to spray, blow-in, glue, banding, taping, or other application and installation methods Place insulation around obstacles and between beams and bracing Install vapor barriers and fire-retardant products Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and blankets Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding and securing and lifting devices Read and interpret plans, maps, drawings, and specifications
