Work Environment Rural Urban Responsibilities Tasks Drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products Customer service professionalism Receive and transmit information to central dispatcher Maintain a record of items received and delivered Load and unload merchandise Follow directions and read a map Use road maps and other travel planning aids Note travel information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and problems encountered Inspect trucks before, during and after the trip and monitor all aspects of vehicles Credentials Credentials (certificates, licenses, affiliations, courses, etc.) Class 5/5F/G license (cars, light trucks and other 2-axle vehicles) Additional Information Safety and Security Criminal record check Bondable Driving record check Transportation and Travel Information Vehicle provided by employer Working Conditions and Physical Abilities Environment where activities take place at a fast pace Tight deadlines Physically demanding Handle heavy loads Weight handled Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Possess tools and equipment Steel-toed shoes or boots Personal Qualities Customer-focused attitude Effective interpersonal relations Flexibility Organizational skills Reliable Team spirit Sense of responsibility Initiative Punctuality Benefits Financial Benefits Bonus Other Benefits Free parking available
