# Responsibilities Tasks - Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, graphics and charts - Adjust and fine-tune production machines/tools - Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments - Document and record any deviations from specifications and tolerances - Maintain inspection records and prepare inspection reports - Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g. micrometer, caliper) - Adjust and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools - Verify, using precision measuring instruments, that product dimensions are accurate and conform to specifications # Experience and Specialization Measuring tools - Micrometers - Calipers - Gauges Experience operating equipment and machinery - Automatic lathes - Bench drills - Parallel lathes - Operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines - Computer-aided design (CAD) # Additional Information Working conditions and physical capabilities - Fast-paced work environment - Repetitive tasks - Physically demanding - Attention to detail - Must possess own tools and equipment Tools - Steel-toed shoes or boots - Safety glasses - Hard hat Personal qualities - Effective interpersonal relationships - Excellent oral communication - Flexibility - Initiative - Teamwork
