Responsibilities Tasks Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages Address customer complaints and respond to their concerns Prepare and serve house specialties at customer tables Present bills to customers and collect amounts due in cash, paid by credit or debit card, traveler's checks or charged to rooms Describe menu items to customers, including daily specials Suggest menu items Operate the cash register and record sales Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs Greet customers, present the menu, make suggestions and answer questions about food and beverages Serve food and beverages Assist customers/guests with special needs Provide customer service
