Work Environment Outdoor Beef cattle farming, including feedlot operation Multiple work locations Responsibilities Tasks Interpret plans, maps, drawings and specifications to foresee methods or sequences of operations Operate heavy equipment Read plans, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Clean and lubricate machinery and fill machine tanks Measure distance, volume, length and weight Operate computer-controlled equipment Understand the purpose, appropriate use and information contained in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Record information in logbooks and other registers Perform pre-operation machinery checks Write accident reports Attach special work tools to machines Use a Global Positioning System (GPS) and other navigation equipment Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment Perform minor machinery repairs Operate hydraulic pumping systems Qualifications Credentials (certificates, permits, affiliations, courses, etc.) Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Experience and Specialization Types of heavy equipment operated Backhoe, loader Work experience fields Backfilling Ditch digging Excavation Finish grading Land clearing Landscaping Preliminary grading Compacting roadways Slope work and raising Snowplowing Piling Formwork removal Basement excavation Basement compacting Trench digging Experience in industrial environment Agricultural industry Additional Information Work conditions and physical abilities Physically demanding Attention to detail Fast-paced work environment Benefits Other benefits Other benefits
