Responsibilities Tasks Load and unload merchandise Drive trucks or tractor-trailers to transport goods or materials Monitor vehicle condition and perform inspection of tires, lights, brakes, refrigerated storage equipment and other equipment Adjust brakes Inspect trucks before, during and after the trip and monitor all aspects of vehicles Receive and transmit information to central dispatcher Record information on cargo, service hours, distances traveled and fuel consumption Tarp and ensure cargo safety and security Credentials Qualifications (certificates, permits, affiliations, courses, etc.) Driver's license (Class 1 or A) Experience and Specialization Documentary Knowledge Driver's logbook Trip report
