# Job Description **Work Environment** - Outdoor - Noisy - Hot - Camp setting - School or educational institution - Church - Education **Responsibilities and Tasks** - Maintain up-to-date files and records - Plan activities - Supervise staff - Train staff - Instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts - Assist in coordinating recreational, sports and fitness events - Lead groups and individuals in social and leisure activity programs - Plan and implement leisure, athletics, fitness and sports activities - Prepare reports - Understand principles of group dynamics - Lead groups or provide instructions to groups - Lead individuals or provide instructions to individuals - Assist clients/guests with special needs - Ensure health and safety rules are followed - Set up equipment and apparatus for sports and games - Supervise leisure, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and administer first aid or emergency care as needed - Supervisory functions and activities for more than 20 people **Qualifications and Credentials** - CPR Certificate - First Aid Certificate **Experience and Specialization** - Teaching **Additional Information** *Safety and Security* - Criminal record check - Vulnerable Persons Check (VPC) *Personal Qualities* - Accurate - Customer-focused attitude - Sense of responsibility - Effective interpersonal relations - Excellent oral communication - Excellent written communication - Flexibility - Initiative - Open to others - Sound judgment - Organizational skills - Reliable - Team player **Benefits** *Other Benefits* - Free parking available - Employer-paid training/learning - On-site amenities
