# Restaurant Manager

**Responsibilities and Tasks**
- Analyze budget to increase and maintain restaurant profits
- Develop a budget to determine the cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
- Evaluate daily operations
- Modify food preparation methods and menu prices based on restaurant budget
- Control receipts to determine labour costs
- Monitor staff performance
- Plan and organize daily operations
- Recruit staff
- Set staff work schedules
- Supervise staff
- Train staff
- Determine the type of services to be offered and establish operating procedures
- Close the cash register and complete balance sheets, cash statements and supporting documents
- Conduct performance reviews

- Organize and maintain current inventory
- Ensure health and safety rules are respected
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding the supply of food and other products
- Discuss with clients regarding catering services or facility use arrangements

- Direct individuals or provide instructions
- Resolve customer complaints and address their concerns
- Provide customer service

- Ensure staff training regarding their tasks, hygiene and safety standards
