Responsibilities Tasks Direct and control daily operations Evaluate daily operations Plan and organize daily operations Establish and prepare work schedules Select and hire subcontractors and coordinate their work Verify subcontractors' work to ensure compliance with quality standards, plans and specifications Develop and implement advertising, marketing and sales strategies Plan and manage budgets Perform various specialized work in residential construction or renovation activities Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers Prepare estimates and quotes for residential construction, renovation or restoration projects Consult plans and specifications with clients, architects and engineers Prepare and update directories of suppliers and specialized contractors Ensure building permits are obtained Develop and implement occupational health and safety plans Supervisory functions and activities 3 to 4 people
