# Responsibilities ## Tasks Mountain driving experience Organize trips, establish itineraries and make reservations Work as part of a team of two truck drivers or in a convoy Load and unload merchandise Obtain special licenses and other documents required to transport cargo on international roads Drive trucks or articulated combinations to transport goods or materials Monitor the condition of vehicles and perform inspections of tires, lights, brakes, refrigeration storage equipment and other equipment Adjust brakes Inspect trucks before, during and after trips and monitor all aspects of vehicles Perform preventive maintenance Receive and transmit information to central dispatcher Record information on cargo, service hours, distances traveled and fuel consumption Tarp and ensure cargo safety and security Transport and handle dangerous goods # Qualifications ## Credentials (Certificates, licenses, affiliations, courses, etc.) Class AZ driver's license Authorization to use air brakes Driver's license with air brake system endorsement Driver's license (Class 1 or A) Driver's license (Class 3 or D) Dangerous goods transportation certificate # Experience and Specialization ## Documentary Knowledge Accident and incident report Bill of lading Accident report involving dangerous goods Driver's logbook Inspection report (pre-departure, en route and post-trip) Maintenance and repair reports Cross-border documents Trip report ## Type of Trucking and Equipment Refrigerated container Semi-truck tractor ## Transportation/Movement Experience International Local Long distance National Provincial/territorial Regional # Additional Information ## Safety and Security Basic safety rating Driver's license validation Driving record check ## Transportation and Travel Information Valid driver's license Willing to travel across borders Willing to travel for extended periods Willing to travel abroad Willing to travel for periods of more than 24 hours ## Working Conditions and Physical Abilities Attention to detail Handle heavy loads High work volume Physically demanding Seated work position ## Weight Handled Up to 45 kg (100 lb) More than 45 kg (100 lb) ## Own Tools and Equipment Cell phone Steel-toed shoes or boots Safety vest ## Personal Qualities Effective interpersonal relations Excellent oral communication Flexibility Judgment Organizational sense Reliable Team spirit Diligent
