Responsibilities Tasks Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages Handle customer complaints and address their concerns Present bills to customers and collect payment in cash, by credit or debit card, traveler's cheques, or charge to rooms Describe menu items to customers, including daily specials Apply provincial or territorial laws and regulations concerning alcoholic beverages Reconcile cash register and record sales Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs Serve food and beverages Take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff Provide customer service
