Responsibilities Tasks Maintain production logs and other relevant data Make necessary modifications to ensure smooth process operations Operate machines used to soften, drill, decorate, soap, or polish glass or glass products Visually examine products to control quality Prepare and adjust automatic machines for forming glass Examine product samples, weigh and measure them to verify compliance with specifications Examine glass sheets and mark defective areas to obtain the best cut Heat, anneal, temper, or form float glass or glass products Place glass sheets on a padded table or template and measure and mark the glass Program computer-aided numerical control machine tools Experience and specialization Glass cutting materials and techniques Tempered glass
