Responsibilities Tasks Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages Resolve customer complaints and address their concerns Present bills to customers and collect amounts due in cash, paid by credit or debit card, by traveller's cheques or charged to rooms Apply provincial or territorial laws and regulations concerning alcoholic beverages Suggest food items Ring up sales and record transactions Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs Greet customers, present the menu, make suggestions and answer questions about food and beverages Serve food and beverages Take orders and transmit them to kitchen and bar staff
