Responsibilities Tasks Use a dishwasher to wash dishes, glasses and utensils Stock dishes in designated areas Replenish condiments and other items on tables and in service areas Disinfect dishes and other items and wash them by hand Scour pots and pans Record quantities of food used in logs Wrap take-out food Divide food into portions and wrap them Prepare and heat simple dishes Serve food to customers at the counter or buffet table Fill refrigerators and salad bars Take customer orders Use manual and electric equipment to clean, peel, slice and cut food Cleaning and disinfect the kitchen, work stations, cupboards, storage areas and equipment Handle cleaning products and store them Remove waste and garbage and empty trash cans Sweep, wipe, wash, wax and polish floors Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruits
