Responsibilities Tasks Analysis of hair and scalp condition Cut and trim hair according to client instructions and preferences Shampoo and rinse clients' hair Provide hair treatments, such as waves, straightening, and coloring, and provide scalp conditioning massages Supervise other hairdressers and other employees Apply bleach, perform color shampoos, tint, or provide rinses in order to color, highlight, or streak hair Apply hair extensions Clean and style wigs and hairpieces Cut, trim, thin, curl, wave, perform permanents and styling Set a hairstyle compatible with the client's physical characteristics and preferences
